The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), A.M.M. Nasiruddin, has announced that the total number of voters in the country is 123,732,274.

He shared this information during the inaugural ceremony of National Voter's Day on Sunday, March 2.

The CEC mentioned that out of the total, there are 63,361,615 male voters and 60,369,665 female voters.

The CEC assured the nation that the Election Commission is committed to holding free, fair, and credible elections. He emphasized that the people of the country have unwavering support for the Election Commission. The Commission has promised to provide a transparent election process. He also mentioned that in January, an initiative was taken to update the voter list by going door-to-door, and data entry is currently in progress.

It is noteworthy that National Voter's Day is being celebrated for the seventh time in the country with the theme "In Our Bangladesh, We Will Vote Together." The observance of National Voter's Day started in 2019.
